Boom Mat, DEI’s brand of heat and sound solutions is launching a new variant of its Underhood Thermal Acoustic Lining. The lining is now available in a black shade with a carbon fiber look. Just like Boom Mat’s original Underhood Termal Acoustic Liner, this one too is a peel and stick product that is easy to install. It provides users with the twin benefits of reduction of the noise that enters the passenger compartment and it serves to protect the pain coating by keeping the hood surface cool.
The lining is made of 0.5 inch thick, high quality, industrial acoustical grade material sporting a textured carbon look. The 13 sq. ft. sized lining provides occupants of a vehicle with a quieter, more comfortable ride as it is ideal for insulating the underside of the hood. Modern vehicles which are highly performance oriented have high performance heat producing engines and these thermal acoustic linings will come in handy. Measuring 32” x 59”, the lining is resistant to both mildew and mold. It can be used for other applications like insulation of engine doghouses, reducing the noise of generator boxes and marine and powersports applications.
