Dayco has launched a new range of heavy duty auxiliary belt kits, with the prefix KPV. These auxiliary belt kits comprise the necessary original equipment quality belts along with the tensioners and idlers that match them. Thus, customers will need to use only this kit for a complete overhaul of the front end auxiliary drive system.
Dayco is a leading supplier of engine products and drive systems to the automotive, industrial and aftermarket sectors. The company supplies heavy duty OE components to leading vehicle manufacturers like Volvo, DAF, Scania, Iveco and Mercedes-Benz.
The company had initially made a name for itself in the field of drive belts. It now has a range of drive belts featuring over 600 V and Poly-V part numbers. Dayco has now expanded its portfolio to include other components within the drive system. Thus, the Dayco HD program also includes almost 300 drive component references including tensioners and idlers – to provide a complete system solution for the CV aftermarket.
Commenting on the new range, Steve Carolan, Dayco’s national sales manager for UK and Ireland said that in order for technicians to carry out the best possible job and for fleet managers to maximize the reliability of their vehicles, it is necessary for the auxiliary drive system to be considered as a single entity, rather than thinking of the belt and the drive components separately. It would be easier for the technicians to replace the whole system rather than changing individual items, thus providing a complete and thorough repair solution.
Thus, garages can source the required parts from a single supplier when the components are available as a single kit that also contains any additional fixtures. This would help both installers and wholesalers, as it streamlines the ordering process.
