According to Continental, one of the world’s leading brake system manufacturers and suppliers its range of aftermarket brake parts under the ATE brand comprises a wide range of components like brake calipers, brake boosters, master cylinders, hydraulic control units, hydraulic hoses, and wheel cylinders. The company’s ATE brake pads are designed to meet original equipment friction specifications and deliver coverage for over 88 percent of European makes and models. Continental officials said that the range offers outstanding application coverage and availability for a diverse range of European vehicle makes and models.
In order to ensure that the brake pads offer the perfect solution for specific vehicle applications, the company’s engineers use over 150 different friction formulations. The brake pads are meant to offer outstanding brake performance as well as quiet and smooth operation.
Continental also offers a range of DOT 4 replacement brake fluids which have been specially formulated to meet specific vehicle performance and safety requirements to complement its hydraulic brake parts program.
This range of brake fluids includes ATE SL.6 Brake Fluid, which is meant for ESP, ABS, and ASR electronic brake systems; ATE SL for hydraulic brake and clutch systems; and ATE Typ 200 to cater to the extreme demands placed by high performance and racing applications.
Dan Caciolo, head of product management for Continental Independent Aftermarket Powertrain and Brake Systems said that every ATE component is made to meet and even exceed OE manufacturer specifications and is rigorously tested for endurance and reliability.
