MAT Holdings, Inc., which owns Bendix Brakes has announced that the company will be relaunching the Fleet MetLok product range, a specialist line of automotive disc brake pads and rotors that have been designed specifically for use in severe-duty applications like heavy duty vehicles as well as service and pursuit vehicles.
The Fleet MetLok product line has been further expanded with brake pads that can provide better friction performance and coverage, and now the range includes rotors as well as pads.
Bendix Fleet MetLok semi- and low-metallic brake pads come with friction formulations that have been proven to ensure heat and fade tolerance, outstanding durability, noise-free performance, and excellent stopping in demanding applications. They also come with a 3-layer shim, burnishing compound in order to reduce break-in time, and a hardware kit when applicable.
The rotors belonging to the Fleet MetLok range are fashioned from Alloyed Carbon Performance Castings, which provide them with superior thermal stability and strength, and mean that they can be safely used in all driving conditions. Moreover, they also receive the Bendix proprietary heat-resistant SurfaceLokT coating, which significantly extends rotor life by reducing corrosion.
Products from the Fleet MetLok range are perfect for use in vehicles that are engaged in towing, hauling of heavy cargos, frequent stopping, and those meant for pursuit like police vehicles, work vans, taxis, tow trucks and construction pickup trucks.
