Axalta Coating Systems never rests on its laurels. The premier global manufacturer of liquid and powder coatings has recently rolled out the latest addition to its architectural Alesta powder coating product family, called AR400 Anodic Natura.
The innovative product is a highly durable polyester designed to offer the versatility of a low-gloss, bonded metallic silver, offering the color and appearance of standard anodized finishes with all the benefits linked to a powder coating.
Mike Withers, Axalta Architectural Segment Leader, remarked that they are thrilled to launch the new product to their architectural powder coating customers. He explained that AR400 Anodic Natura is formulated to offer a true anodized appearance that is uniform on a range of materials such as steel or aluminum.
Alesta AR400 Anodic Natura is designed to offer outstanding abrasion resistance and elasticity that makes it ideal for fencing, hand railings, metal furniture, wheels, residential aluminum extrusions and general industrial applications.
This product does not need a clear coat and enables aluminum and steel to have a uniform, anodized appearance with a high batch-to-batch consistency. It also helps make it possible to provide an anodized look on sheet panels, steel cladding and on intricate shapes.
Without targeted harmful air pollutants or volatile organic compounds, AR400 Anodic Natura is an ideal choice for those who want an environmentally responsible product.
AR400 Arcadia Silver is another new addition in Axalta’s Alesta architectural product line that offers a high level of design freedom, making it easy to match wood, plastic, glass or nearly any other building material. The high-quality weathering polyesters in this collection boast exterior grade pigments and have outstanding outdoor weathering properties that meet American Architectural Manufacturers Association 2604 standards.
