Axalta which is one of the top companies in the world in the field of automotive refinish coatings and is a leading global supplier of liquid and powder coatings was the headline partner for the International Bodyshop Industry Symposium (IBIS) Middle East 2019. Axalta used the event which was held in Dubai to highlight its range of sustainable coating solutions and technology innovations for the global collision industry.
The theme of the symposium was Strategic Sustainability and it drew representatives from over 30 countries across the globe. Delegates at the event learned more about the latest trends from some of the most engaging thought leaders in the industry.
Commenting on the company’s partnership with IBIS Middle East, Jim Muse, Vice President Global Refinish Sales said that sustainability has played a key role in Axalta’s growth and success for over 150 years. The company used the conference to highlight its range of sustainable coating solutions and technologies that meet the environmental and social challenges.
He said that partnering with IBIS Middle East 2019 presented Axalta with a great opportunity to network and strengthen its relations with its customers, partners and key industry stakeholders in the collision industry.
Axalta’s attendance at the symposium was part of a multi-year global partnership between Axalta and Plenham Ltd, which is the parent company of bodyshop and IBIS Worldwide. IBIS is the leading networking platform for the collision repair industry and attracted delegates from vehicle manufacturers, insurers, suppliers and bodyshops.
Sobers Sethi, President of Emerging Markets, Axalta said that the Middle East region is an important hub for achieving Axalta’s business growth objectives.
Sethi added, “Productivity is the key thing and from this point of view we have a lot to offer to our customers. We know there will be people who want waterborne and productivity and there will be people who want great colour matching, and at Axalta we have a color library of over 4 million colors which gives us a distinct advantage.”
Manju Mathew, an MBA in marketing, completed publisher training courses from the Oxford Brookes University and New York University.
