Akebono Brake Corp. has expanded its coverage for brake pads by adding nine new part numbers to its EURO, Pro-ACT and Performance Ultra-Premium ceramic disc brake pad lines. This will increase Akebono’s coverage to an additional 5.8 million domestic, European and Asian vehicles. In this month alone, Akebono has released a total of 25 new part numbers, thus increasing total coverage to over 10.4 million vehicles.
The nine new part numbers for brake pads fit 21 new models ranging from 2012 to 2017 models, including several models like the Cadillac Escalade, Jeep Cherokee, Nissan Pathfinder, Ford Edge and Fusion, the Audi A8 Quattro, Acura RDX and TLX, Chevy Silverado, GMC Sierra, Honda Accord, and Lincoln MKZ.
Of the nine new parts, five belong to the Pro-ACT brand, three are Performance and one is EURO. All these parts have been specially designed to increase braking power and control, increase rotor life and reduce noise, vibration and harshness (NVH).
Speaking about the new part numbers, Ken Selinger, director, Akebono Aftermarket Sales and Marketing said that as the demand for Akebono premium ceramic brake pads continues to grow, the company will continue to harness its enhanced braking technology to make parts for a wider range of models.
He said that the company aims to consistently deliver unmatched quality and performance in all of its aftermarket products leading to less comebacks and higher profits, thus making business more successful for its customers.
