Hella takes pride in its more than a century’s experience of providing automotive equipment, and constantly furthers the development of lighting technology. The company also applies this know-how to the agricultural vehicles industry, in which the importance of contemporary lighting solutions and design are constantly increasing.
In this same area, the company is mainly promoting customer-specific and tailor-made solutions as well as LED technology. Compared to standard halogen light sources, LEDs not only give better illumination and consume less power, but also enable the creation of new trends in vehicle design and significantly enhance brand identity and appearance.
Working closely with DEUTZ-FAHR, HELLA has recently launched the first-ever fully customer-specific work light cover installed in a tractor. Featuring 4,200 lumens, it highlights the unique style of the DEUTZ-FAHR 9340 TTV and demonstrates how process, technological and quality expertise can be systematically transferred from automotive equipment industry into the field of agricultural vehicles.
Designed as a hybrid, the CAN-bus capable work light cover uses LED light sources to combine close-range and long-range illumination in one unit. Each strip of the cover has around 1,000 lumens and constitutes a work light in its own right that can be mounted separately.
The three models in the DEUTZ-FAHR 9 TTV series are further set apart by engine power ranging from 70 to 340 hp and are fitted with continuously variable TTV transmissions. Apart from driver comfort, low operating costs and fuel economy, the tractors are also convincing by virtue of their design, which was created in partnership with Italdesign Giugiaro. This was proven when the DEUTZ-FAHR 9340 TTV was awarded the “Golden Tractor for the Design” 2015, demonstrating the trend towards inpidual design in agricultural vehicles.
