Just recently, 3M has rolled out a new solution that meets the structural bonding requirements specified by automotive OEMs for collision repair.
3M Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive 07333/57333 is an advanced two-part epoxy adhesive that offers a prolonged work time, but can be quickly cured with heat. It adheres securely to various properly prepared automotive substrates, including aluminum and steel. Designed for true structural bonding applications when specified by OEMs, it is highly recommended for all rivet-bonded and weld-bonded joints.
3M applied its advanced science to the challenge and through close working relationships with a number of OEMs, was able to develop the 3M Impact Resistant Structural Adhesive which is claimed to tackle a number of issues technicians face today during collision repairs.
