Ford Motor Co. has come up with a new feature called “FordPass” that can minimize the hassle of parking for motorists. They can use “FordPass” to search for, book and pay for parking in advance in over 160 cities spread across the United States before they even take to the wheel.
According to Elena Ford, Ford’s vice president for Global Dealer and Consumer Experience the new “FordPass” is one of the many ways that Ford is delivering smarter, better and more efficient mobility solutions for the company’s consumers.
FordPass platform members can use their smartphones to get access to new features through updates of FordPass. To use FordPass, drivers just need to input their destination. They can easily view all associated parking areas nearby, check out the cost of parking there, and make the payment to park there in advance using FordPay for a hasslefree journey. The availability of parking is updated in real time, so they will not have to waste time looking for parking and FordPass even comes with an option to bookmark their favorite parking for future use. This is definitely of great benefit to motorists.
Ford has said that it is now repositioning the company as one that is “both an auto and mobility company,”. The FordPass, which is a free digital, physical and personal platform is one of the ways in which Ford is seeking to reinvent the customer experience.
