JAY CHANG NAMED AS NEW GLOBAL HEAD OF GENESIS

Hyundai Motor Company has appointed Jaehoon (Jay) Chang, Executive Vice President, as the new Global Head of the Genesis Brand. Mr. Chang will be responsible for the Genesis business, leading its global expansion, starting on August 1, 2020.

Mr. Chang joins Genesis with extensive and varied experience in the Hyundai Motor Group. He has held roles of increasing responsibility within the Production Development Planning, Customer Experience, Korean Business and People & Business Operation Support Divisions. His focus on customer experience, quality and corporate growth strategy uniquely positions him to lead Genesis through its next phase of growth.

In his new capacity, Mr. Chang will lead the brand’s further expansion by increasing sales and brand awareness around the world, becoming a strong presence in the luxury automotive market.

The appointment follows Yong-woo (William) Lee’s promotion to CEO of Innocean, the global marketing communications company. Due to Mr. Lee’s previous experience as a founding executive of Innocean Worldwide Americas, he is the perfect executive to lead that business forward. Mr. Lee assumes his new role from August 1st, 2020.
