Could you share with us how your business started?

In the Netherlands – where Brian’s Custom Audio is originated – we already have many years of experience building car audio. After a while, we discovered our goals reached beyond the reigning standard. We wanted to create systems that exceed everyone’s expectations in supercars. We met the former president of the UAE Ferrari Club and before we knew, it a 458 Italia was sent to the Netherlands for a Brian’s Custom Audio upgrade. The result was stunning! The client was beyond impressed with our level of quality and service and even sent some more cars to get a sound upgrade.

Could you tell us about your products and services, and what make them special?

Nothing sounds better than tailor made audio solutions provided by Brian’s Custom Audio. As awesome as supercars are, the sound system often doesn’t perform at the same level. Audio systems are not the top priority for supercar builders. At Brian’s Custom Audio, we love the sound of the engine. But when you’re cruising in your supercar, you want to listen to your favourite music at the best possible sound quality and be able to hear it above the sound of your engine. At Brian’s, we recognize this and have found the perfect solution: high-end upgrades and customized sound systems. What do you consider as your company’s biggest milestone so far?

Our biggest milestone is coming to the UAE and creating a new standard in the country’s market.

What do you think is the key ingredient to the success of your company?

We are passionate about cars and audio, Brian’s Custom Audio is the perfect marriage for these passions. We don’t just configure your audio. With an eye for the smallest detail and a high quality finish, we provide design and custom elements to fit everything seamlessly into your interior. Be it materials, stitching, logos, customized speaker rings, speaker casings, lighting, or moving parts; if you can imagine it, we can build it.

What is the technology behind your customized sound systems?

It’s a combination of high-end audio hardware and custom designed parts which improve the factory car standard. Apart from using high-end hardware, we build everything by hand to fit the system in the car, using the exact same materials to match the interior.

What do you consider as the major challenge in providing customers with tailor made audio experience?

There is almost no challenge in meeting our clients’ demands.

You supply custom audio systems to Ferrari vehicles. What is your secret in getting the automaker’s trust?

We have created an impressive track record over the years. Since we are dealing with supercars, we don’t want to change anything and therefore, we blend our solutions like you would think it comes straight from the automaker.

Your motto is ‘Serious About Sound’. How do you live up to this motto?

We are true explorers— we keep ourselves updated with new techniques and come up with unconventional ideas.

How do you assess the custom car audio market in the Middle East?

Thriving! People like to have a certain uniqueness to something that is already special compared to the standard in other parts of this world.

Where do you see this market in 2020?

We see this market further developing into a more mature market and improving in terms of quality.

What do you think makes the UAE a unique market for custom car audio?

UAE has a high standard when it comes to luxury products. People are always trying to find a way to distinguish themselves.

Based on your expertise and experience, what is the best type of audio system or component that clicks to the taste of UAE customers?

There is no standard component or system. Our UAE customers appreciate the fact that every component is handpicked (based on the characteristics of the car) and everything is handmade to create a custom fit.

What set your audio systems apart from those offered by other companies?

Our tailored audio solutions can’t be compared to other companies. What we create is a one-of-a-kind product.

You offer lifelong warranty to your customers. Does this cover additional tuning?

No – we only offer warranty to services we deliver.

What is the latest trend in car audio customization?

We don’t follow trends – we create products that last a long time using the latest technical possibilities to realize our ideas.

Where do you draw inspiration from for the audio equipment design in the interior?

First and foremost, we base our design on the current interior of the car – we try to blend in the interior to make the car look factory standard. The best compliment is for people to not notice we changed something in the car until they listen to the music.

What did you have in store for visitors at the recently concluded 2015 Dubai International Motorshow?

Brian’s Custom Audio brought the tailor made audio experience to the Dubai International Motorshow. Visitors witnessed two Ferraris exclusively custom fitted with Brian’s audio equipment at our stand. One was a finished custom fitted Ferrari F12berlinetta, the other was a Ferrari FF custom fitted live at the show. Brian also had Livestream coverage at their stand with all the hottest news from the Motorshow on their website www.brian.nl.

What can customers expect from Brian’s Custom Audio next year?

A lot of new supercars will be released next year and some of our clients have pre-ordered these cars as well as Brian’s Custom Audio solution. So, we have the opportunity to work on the latest supercars before most people have even seen them.
