Hyundai Motor has revealed a teaser of the all-new i20, which indicates that the model will have a completely new design. The all-new i20 will be the first Hyundai model in Europe to follow Hyundai’s new design language which the company has chosen to term as ‘Sensuous Sportiness’.
The design language of Sensuous Sportiness focuses on creating harmony between four fundamental elements: proportion, architecture, styling and technology. Hyundai is implementing this new design direction with the purpose of lending instinctive beauty to Hyundai models, thus giving them a distinctive look and giving them emotional value.
The preview images that Hyundai revealed point to the concept that the all-new i20 will have a more dynamic and sporty look. The model’s cascading grille in the front runs horizontally to the sides giving it a low and wide stance while the unique lighting signature highlights the width and the stance of the all-new i20. There is a bold character line on the side of the body which enhances the model’s sporty dimensions and its agility. A horizontal tail lamp design which is seamlessly connected with the rear glass is the most notable feature in the rear. In the interiors, the horizontal blades covering the dashboard are the most notable feature as they further emphasize the width of the front fascia and conceal the air vents. To add to the elegance of the interior, Hyundai has combined the digital cluster and the main center fascia and they feature two 10.25-inch screens.
The all-new i20 will make its global debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2020.
