Porto Cervo on the island of Sardinia is a beautiful place in addition to being one of the most exclusive and glamorous tourist destinations in the world. In order to celebrate the spirit of the city, Rolls-Royce has unveiled two Bespoke motor cars, that have been commissioned to reflect the vibrant nature of this luxurious enclave. The two models include an embellished Wraith, which has one of Rolls-Royce’s most powerful engines and a Dawn, the company’s new Drophead Coupe. The two bespoke cars were unveiled at the company’s Summer Studio in Sardinia.
The two cars reflect the essence of the marina, which is located on the Costa Smerelda and have been termed from ‘Dusk until Dawn’.
Isobel Dando, General Manager, Future Retail, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, commented that Rolls-Royce customers live in some of the most beautiful enclaves in the world. Sardinia, and its beautiful Costa Smerelda, served as the perfect backdrop for Rolls-Royce to host these customers in the intimate confines of the Rolls-Royce Summer Studio. The stunning Bespoke Wraith and emerald embellished Dawn, have been inspired by the vibrant hues that are seen in Porto Cervo, and reflect the same spirit.
The Bespoke Wraith is reminiscent of dusk with a two-tone silver exterior to reflect the dimming light and a purple feature line to hint at the interior mood. The Spirit of Ecstasy, the figurine on the bonnet too casts a soft light from her perch on the signature grille.
Inside shades of blue, purple, slate and black reflect the colors of the evening and a sense of calm. Ostrich leather adds depth and texture to the exquisitely furnishings in the cabin.
The Dawn meanwhile is all about the bright colors of the morning in Porto Cervo, with a unique emerald green exterior that is offset by the seashell and green leather interior. Open-pore teak are evocative of the high seas and lend an elegant sensation to the interiors while the Bespoke teak boot floor mat for the luggage compartment, attenuates the nautical theme.
Precious emeralds and mother of pearl in a setting of white gold are used on the fascia add to the visual appeal. Like a brooch in the shape of the emblem of Porto Cervo, the stones add to the luxury quotient.
The Costa Smerelda inspired London-based tattoo artist Mo Coppoletta who was involved in the design of the bespoke cars to create tattooed works of art which will be presented alongside the Dusk until Dawn configuration in The Summer Studio.
Coppoletta commented, “The colours and atmosphere of Porto Cervo are truly inspiring. The designs I have created for Rolls-Royce evoke the emotion experienced by observing this magical place from the harbour of Promenade du Port.”
The Rolls-Royce Summer Studio in Porto Cervo will be open until September 2016, where Rolls-Royce customers can make an appointment to view the refined art, design and unrivalled craftsmanship that goes into making each unique Rolls-Royce.
