Renault Middle East, in collaboration with its dealer in the UAE, AW Rostamani and Shift Car Rental, has come up with a new promotional offer that is meant to promote the use of the new all-electric Renault ZOE Long Range model. Customers who might be consider a shift to electrified vehicles but are wary of taking the plunge can test the waters with this new offer.
Renault is essentially offering Zoe models as part of a four-year lease program that is available at an all-inclusive price of AED 2,380 per month. This offer includes a free home-charging station, manufacturer warranty, servicing package and registration fees. Renault has made deliveries of almost 100,000 ZOE models globally and was the first car manufacturer maker to introduce a 100 per cent electric car in the Middle East region. The company debuted the new long-range Zoe in the region in November 2017, and the model offers a record range of 300 kilometers (in real driving conditions) on a single charge, thus delivering the longest driving range of any mass-market electric vehicle that is currently available.
Commenting on the new scheme, Marwan Haidamous, Renault Middle East Managing Director, said that Renault is a market leader when it comes to electric vehicles in Europe and is always looking for new options to make electric motoring accessible to everyone. He felt that the new scheme is the most competitive electric vehicle lease package that is currently available in the market, and is one more way in which Renault delivers an ‘Easy Life’ to its Middle East customers.
The charging infrastructure in the Middle East is growing, and Dubai is seekignto promote the use of electrified vehicles with new initiatives from the Supreme Energy Council like offering EV owners free public charging until 2019, free parking, free Salik and other benefits. This is the best time in Dubai to go electric.
The ZOE is a compact 5-door city car that has a sporty and dynamic style an dproudly boasts a zero emissions status with innovative technical features like a modern touch-screen center console which serves as a hub for features like climate control, multi-media music and entertainment, and driving performance statistics.
Charging is not difficult as customers can use the cables provided and connect to a power source via the socket which is cleverly concealed under the Renault badge on the ZOE’s bonnet. Whilst the ZOE Long Range model benefits from extra battery capacity there is no impact on charging times. ‘Topping up’ the battery for just 30 minutes provides an additional 80 kilometers of range.
