Nissan has announced the global rollout of the all-new Frontier Pro, sold as the Navara Pro in the Middle East. It is the first Nissan developed and built in China for export. Middle East buyers get a 2.0-litre turbo petrol with 244 hp or a 2.3-litre turbo diesel, and the pickup arrives before the end of 2026.
Nissan confirmed the international rollout of the pickup on 8 October 2026, building on more than 90 years of pickup history. Sales begin in October in Mexico, the first market outside China to get it. The Philippines follows in November, with the Middle East and other Latin American markets by the end of the year. Australia and New Zealand, Nissan’s first right-hand-drive markets for the model, follow in 2027.
Nissan says the Middle East will get the combustion-engine versions. The plug-in hybrid will go to Latin America, ASEAN and Oceania instead. Nissan says the PHEV is its first electrified pickup, with 1.5-litre and 2.0-litre options and Vehicle-to-Load capability to power external equipment.
The pickup is designed, developed and built by Zhengzhou Nissan, Nissan’s joint venture in China, to Nissan’s global quality and durability standards. It is Nissan’s first model made in China for global export. Nissan says it is also exporting its N7 electrified sedan from China to markets including ASEAN and Latin America. Guillaume Cartier, Nissan’s Chief Performance Officer, said the pickup shows how innovative thinking can become real-world capability, and that it combines technology and performance with Nissan’s pickup quality and durability.
Nissan describes the Navara Pro as a durable truck with a spacious, refined five-seat interior, built for work, family and everyday life. Since the Type 13 truck in 1934, Nissan says it has sold more than 15 million pickups in over 140 markets.
Pickups are a staple of work fleets and desert weekends in the UAE, so a new Navara matters here. Nissan has not announced Middle East pricing, trim levels or an exact launch date. The 400 Nm of torque from both engines is the headline figure for towing and off-road use. UAE buyers will also see another Chinese-built vehicle arrive under a major Japanese badge, a pattern also seen with the Nissan Tekton.
