Mercedes-Benz Vans MENA teamed up with Emirates Motor Company Commercial Vehicles to hold the first “Vanchella Festival” in the region in Abu Dhabi. The festival served as an event for both companies to showcase the latest range of customized Mercedes-Benz vans in an interactive environment with music, entertainment and experience zones. The Vanchella Festival was held at the Fairmont Bab Al Bahr Hotel & Resort in Abu Dhabi and Mercedes-Benz used the event to unveil its latest range of vehicles.
The festival was hosted by Emirates Motor Company Commercial Vehicles (EMC CV), a company belonging to the renowned Al Fahim Group which serves as the authorized distributor of Mercedes-Benz vehicles for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. The festival was welcomed by the region’s automotive industry professionals as an innovative way to engage with the latest fleet of vans and mobility options.
Over 200 eminent guests including HE Abdulla Abdul Jalil Al Fahim – Chairman of Al Fahim Supervisory Board; Ahmed Abdul Jalil Al Fahim – Chairman of ALFAHIM Group; HE Eissa Abdul Jalil Al Fahim – General Secretary of Abdul Jalil Al Fahim & Family Charity Foundation and VIP customers as well as members of the media attended the event.
Guests got a chance to creatively interact with the vehicles as some of the new vans were turned into innovative experience zones. Other vehicles on display included EMC CV’s Sprinter 4×4 VIP and Department of Transport Links Sprinter mini-bus.

This included, bespoke solutions for VIPs, innovatively converted people-movers, handicap friendly and accessible rides, among others which are becoming high in demand year-on-year.”
Vehicles that were in the spotlight at the event included the newly facelifted Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2020, a van that takes the large van segment to new heights with new technological features that can be tailored precisely to cater to the needs of any customer. It is the first premium van in the region to have the EURO 6 eco-friendly engine and proved to be a crowd puller at the event.
Other vans that attracted attention included a unit that was retrofitted with a wheelchair lift to cater to People of Determination passengers and various breath-taking 5-star customizations for shuttle Sprinters. The new V-Class was also displayed, focusing on safety, with demonstrations of the new driver assistance systems, front-end design, exterior color choices and trim options.
