Lincoln Presenting Sponsor of Dubai Jazz Festival for Second Consecutive Year

Jazz first became a high profile event in the UAE back in 2003, when Emirates Airlines organized the Emirates Airlines Dubai Jazz Festival. The 14th edition of the event was held from February 24 to 26 at the Dubai Media City Amphitheater. Lincoln, the luxury brand of Ford Motor Corporation was the presenting sponsor for the event for the second consecutive year. In line with its image as a luxury brand, Lincoln helped add an element of luxury and flair to the longest-running live music event in the UAE.

Commenting on Lincoln’s support for the event, Alex Schaeffer, head of Lincoln Middle East said that the Dubai Jazz Festival represents music that transcends genres and generations, while offering the audience an entertaining combination of sound, fun and art.

Lincoln also used the event as the platform to present The Freesound Project – a group of local independent musicians who gathered in Dubai to present their take on classic and current songs on the Lincoln stage.

Guests who attended the event had a chance to participate and print their photos in a unique camera activation on the Lincoln VIP Terrace at the end of the evening. Lincoln also set up a dedicated web site featuring videos and main events of the jzz festival and browsers were also given the opportunity to book a test drive in one of the new Lincoln vehicles that were showcased at the venue.

Recording music is not an easy feat and calls for a special environment. The same goes for listening to music you really enjoy. Visitors to the Lincoln Revel Experience not only got a chance to ride a brand new MKX but were also given the chance to enjoy pre-selected jazz tunes on the Lincoln Revel sound system. A pair of exclusive Lincoln earphones was an additional bonus.

In the Lincoln MKX, all 19 speakers of the Revel Ultima system have been customized specially for the car. Motorists can use the quantum logic surround sound and virtual listening modes to get the effect of being onstage, or in the front row, of their favorite venue, making listening to the music of their choice a truly unforgettable experience.
