As part of its MYLAND (Ardhi in Arabic) creative communications platform, Land Rover Middle East and North Africa is extending its support to adventurer Zaid Siwady, who is helming the ProjectOverLandy, as he sets off on a nine day expedition to rediscover Jordan by visiting the country’s most scenic spots in a Land Rover LR4.
Siwady is a Jordanian expat living in the UAE, and enthusiastically took up the opportunity to return to his homeland and record his experience of visiting his country’s scenic attractions for Land Rover’s communications channel.
Zaid has been an adventurer and camping enthusiast his entire life, and was raised by parents who encouraged his thirst for adventure from an early age. He has a passion for the Land Rover brand and came up with the concept of ProjectOverLandy to document the numerous excursions he made in his Land Rover vehicles in countries across the region The project lead to breath-taking aerial footage of his trips.
Speaking about the upcoming expedition, Zaid Siwady said he is currently exploring the UAE and Oman where he visits different spots on a weekly basis in his Land Rover Defender. He considers himself to be lucky to belong to a region that is highly rich in culture, heritage and beauty. Now, he will be able to return to his homeland where he will tackle striking on-road and off-road terrains in the Land Rover LR4.”
He continued: “I look forward to beginning this adventure with Land Rover and I hope that by capturing my journey I will be able to showcase some of the historical landscapes, archeological landmarks and hidden gems Jordan has to offer.”
Zaid will begin his trip by departing from Amman on August 5th, and as part of ProjectOverLandy, he will visit historical and cultural attractions like Jerash, Amra Castle, the Dead Sea, Petra and Aqaba.
Land Rover is extending its support to the growing band of Land Rover enthusiasts in the region and highlighting the great significance and wealth of the region’s land and people through sponsoring adventurous expeditions across the Middle East and North Africa like Zaid’sThe full expedition will be captured in a film that will be rolled out across Land Rover MENA YouTube, MYLAND and Project Overlandy YouTube platforms once Zaid has completed his journey.
