Hennessy has possibly made the most powerful Mustang ever for its new 25th Anniversary Edition HPE800. It will make only 25 units of the modified Mustang that will have an output of 804 horsepower, with the addition of a 2.9-liter supercharger to the Mustang GT’s 5.0-liter V8 engine. The performance is further enhanced with the use of a high-induction intake system and a new, axle-back exhaust system. Modifications have also been made to the fuel injectors, fuel pump, and coilpack. The Mustang GT’s engine management software was also modified to make this a Mustang that is truly rare and powerful. The changes have increased the output of the engine to 804 hp and increased the torque to 648 pound-feet.
The modified Mustang is capable of going from 0-60 miles per hour in a mere 3.1 seconds, and can reach a top speed of about 208 mph, under what the company claims is ideal track conditions.
Other modifications made to the Mustang’s body for the limited-edition Hennessey included a lowered suspension with KW Variant 3 coilovers and carbon-fiber aero aids, including a new front splitter, rear spoiler, and side sills.
In keeping with the limited edition status, there are special little touches that make this car an exclusive model including Hennessey floormats, a stylish external graphics package, the Hennessey name embroidered into the headrests and the addition of the Hennessey name and the HPE800 designation to the rear decklid.
The HPE800 special edition package is available on every variant of the Mustang GT – including th coupe, the convertible, automatic, and manual versions.
