First editions of the Bentley Bentayga arrive in the Middle East

Bentley Motors made deliveries of the first editions of the new Bentley Bentayga to eminent customers including royal households in the Middle East, announcing the arrival of the most luxurious SUV in the world in the region. The production run of the First Editions has been limited to only 608 units on a global basis, a nod to its output of 608 PS (600 bhp / 447kW) and 900 Nm (663 lb. ft).

The First Edition Bentaygas have distinctive little touches including illuminated treadplates, Union Jack badging and 22” black painted and polished wheels. There are only ten exterior colours to add to the exclusivity of the model.

Commenting on the arrival of the Bentayga in the Middle East, Robin Peel, Head of Marketing – International for Bentley Motors, said that as Bentley’s first SUV, the Bentayga has been one of the company’s most awaited models of the past few years. He went on to say that the First Edition has managed to capture the ultimate expression of the Bentayga’s spirit, with an array of impressive features that celebrate both its pioneering nature and its unique abilities.

The most notable component of the Bentayga is its all-new twin-turbocharged 6.0-liter 12-cylinder W12 engine which is made in Crewe. This engine is not only incredibly efficient but also offers extraordinary levels of power and torque to make the Bentayga one of the most powerful and luxurious SUVs on the road. The Bentayga can go from 0-60 mph in just 4.0 seconds and can attain a top speed of 187 mph.

With regard to styling, the Bentayga is pure Bentley with a distinctively powerful and muscular outline and an elegant design. The exterior is notable for the four round LED headlamps ‎and the large matrix grille while the interiors are highly luxurious with intricate detailing in wood, leather and metal.

The skill of Bentley’s craftsmen in Crewe is apparent in the level of perfection that is seen inside the cabin, especially in elements like the ‘Diamond within Diamond’ quilting, the Union Jack fascia badging, the embroidered seats, the contrast stitching and the bespoke ambient lighting.
