The Palm Jumeirah has always been seen as an exclusive destination. True to this status, it witnessed the splash created by the first ever amphibious supercar today as part of the Dubai Motor Festival.
As part of the unique performance, two specially adapted cars skimmed the waves off the Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Dubai Palm Jumeirah prior to staging a stunt show close to the shoreline.
The stunt show is one of a number of spectacular events that make 12-day festival a real crowdpuller and was jointly organized by Waldorf Astoria Dubai Palm Jumeirah and the Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE). The DFRE is an agency of the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) and are the organizers of the Dubai Motor Festival 2015.

Hence organizing the Dubai Motor Festival back in 2013 was a solid strategic step that also fits perfectly with the Dubai Tourism Strategy in enhancing the festival’s pillar as a main attraction for visitors from around the world.
She added that the third edition of the Dubai Motor Festival has proved that the event has become another one of Dubai’s growing list of success stories. This was highlighted by the immense response from the public and the participation of many private sector entities who have used the DMF as a platform for creating eyecatching events and promotions to boost their brand awareness.
Jin Chwen Ong, Director, Dubai Motor Festival said that the agency always tries to come up with unique activities every year for the Dubai Motor Festival, and the splash made by the amphibious supercar sets a really high benchmark for future years.
He added that the delight and the excitement of seeing the cars emerge from the water off The Palm was a truly incredible experience and added to the excitement of the Dubai Motor Festival.

The motor festival will conclude on November 21 with a Motor Village at Meydan that will celebrate all things automotive with action sequences from renowned stunt driver Ken Block, the famous Grand Parade and for the first time a Marques de Elegance competition, as well as The Best Decorated National Day Car competition.
With the tagline “Feel the Rush” the success of the Dubai Motor Festival 2015 will definitely cement Dubai’s position as a hub for world-class events and festivals.
