Motorists in Dubai can now use the Nol cards issued by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for refueling. The Enoc Group recently announced that the cards can also be used to make purchases at all of ENOC’s retail outlets like Zoom, Pronto and Paavo’s Pizza. . All motorists need to do to pay for their fuel after refueling is tap and pay.
Saif Humaid Al Falasi, Group CEO of ENOC, said that it more and more people are taking to cashless payments with the growing use of smart devices. He said that the Enoc Group’s decision to enable payments through NoL cards highlights the company’s commitment to the Dubai Smart City initiative, to enable and drive innovation across all aspects of its business and to enhance customer experience.”
Abdulla Al Madani, CEO, RTA’s Corporate Technology Support Services Sector, said that as the outcome of this new initiative NoL card holders will have the added convenience of being able to pay for groceries and purchases at over 1,000 retail outlets across Dubai.
He said that it is part of RTA’s strategic goals to make it possible for the public from different social segments to use NoL cards to meet the needs of their retail payments. He concluded by saying that RTA is always on the lookout for methods to make people in the UAE happy by providing them with safer, sophisticated, secure and faster solutions that make their lives easier and more comfortable.
ENOC has 118 service stations across the UAE with 221 ZOOM outlets that operate across metro stations, ENOC service stations as well as high-end stand-alone destinations.
