The all-new Cadillac XT4, which is positioned as the luxury brand’s first-ever compact SUV model was launched in the Middle East at the Middle East’s largest street-culture festival, SOLE DXB, in the run-up to its arrival in the region in early 2019. The model will be the first in Cadillac’s product offensive through to 2020.
The all-new Cadillac XT4 was the focal point of Cadillac’s innovative activation called the Cadillac HOTEL at the Middle East’s largest street culture festival, SOLE DXB. Those who attended SOLE DXB had an exclusive chance to enjoy an experiential platform with a Cadillac twist highlighted the luxury automotive brand’s core values and the first-ever XT4.
The all-new Cadillac XT4 will play a key role in Cadillac’s 10-year plan for expansion and a strategic shift in direction. Beginning with the XT4, Cadillac is planning to launch six new models within a short span of two and a half years.
Cadillac first ever compact SUV was developed on an exclusive compact SUV architecture and is notable for its powerful performance, advanced technological features and its striking design. The Middle East is one of Cadillac’s key market on a global basis and is expected to be an ideal market for the Cadillac XT4.
Commenting on the new model, Christian Soemmer, Managing Director, Cadillac Middle East said that the launch of the first-ever Cadillac XT4 in the Middle East marks a significant milestone and kicks off the most aggressive product offensive in the long history of the brand.
Soemmer said that as an outcome of their successful partnership over the past few years, SOLE DXB has turned into an important event in Cadillac’s calendar. Hence, it seemed right that the all-new XT4 should be launched in the region at this event. The XT4 is Cadillac’s first-ever compact SUV which is meant to attract millennial consumers. It comes with a wide range of cutting-edge technology and connectivity features that cater to the needs of customers and millennials in the region.
With regard to its exterior styling, the XT4 has clean, simple and sculpted lines to highlight its aggressive and powerful appearance. All models come with advanced LED lighting technology in the front and rear. Cadillac’s vertical L-shaped lighting signature is stretched horizontally, further emphasizing the model’s width and confident stance.
The interiors are just as impressive with their thoughtful take on the right combination of an attractive style and the artistic integration of technological features. All the elements of the cabin are exceptionally refined, with segment-leading rear-seat spaciousness. The spacious feel in the cabin is further enhanced by sweeping arcs and tapered lines.
The individual elements in the interior come together in a sophisticated and modern design. The intuitive technology available within the car include next-generation wireless device charging and an in-cabin air ionizer. For those who are keen on connectivity, the model offers Cadillac’s most advanced infotainment interface and a connected environment. The next generation Cadillac User Experience is a dynamic platform that offers a smartphone-like experience with an intuitive interface, faster response and improved voice.
All XT4 models will be powered by an all-new Cadillac 2.0L Turbo engine, which will produce an SAE-certified output of 237 hp (177 kW). This engine is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission having the advanced Electronic Precision Shift for a smoother ride. The new engine comes with several technologies to boost its efficiency including Active Fuel Management (cylinder deactivation).
The XT4 is also the first model in which Cadillac is debuting its global “Y” trim strategy, which involves the use of specific content and styling cues that will be available on distinctive Premium Luxury and Sport trims, based on variations in the tastes and preferences of customers.
XT4 Sport models feature a gloss black mesh grille inspired by Cadillac’s high-performance V-Series models, gloss black window moldings and specific Sport alloy wheel choices. Cadillac will be rolling out this new trim strategy with the XT4 and the 2019 CT6 top-of-range sedan which will follow shortly.
The 2019 Cadillac XT4 will be available in a range of seven exterior shades which include Autumn Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Radiant Silver Metallic, Red Horizon Tintcoat, Shadow Metallic, Stellar Black Metallic and Twilight Blue Metallic.
The Cadillac XT4 will be available at the retail level in the Middle East from early 2019.
