Bugatti has unveiled a new variant of the fastest car in the world that handles corners in a smoother manner. The focus was on handling and not on speed and the outcome is the new Chiron Pur Sport that takes corners like a pro. The price tag is a hefty USD 3.3 million, but this is a Bugatti after all. The Bugatti Chiron is known for its performance – with its powerful engine that delivers 1,500 horsepower, almost 1,200 pound-feet of torque, a top speed of 261 mph and the ability to go from 0-60 mph in just 2.3 seconds. In fact, it is believed to be the e fastest production car in the world.
There were however a few Bugatti customers who were not satisfied with just speed. They wanted a Chiron that provided handled better and this made the Bugatti team determined that they would come up with just the kind of Chiron that the customers wanted.
This is how Bugatti came up with the concept of the Bugatti Chiron Pur Sport. The new car is billed as a Chiron that is more driver-focused Chiron and is meant for intense, high-speed cornering rather than just speed or performance.
In order to transform the Chiron into a car that is more maneuverable, Bugatti reduced weight, made the suspension stiffer, worked on the transmission, and added a huge, fixed spoiler. The company also reduced the Chiron’s electronically limited top speed down to 217 mph.
There will be only 60 Bugatti Chiron Pur Sports, so anyone who owns one can consider himself lucky.
