Abu Dhabi Motors (ADM), the official importer of BMW Group vehicles in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, is pleased to announce the arrival of the all-new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé.
Dynamic in design and performance, the Gran Coupé sets a new standard in the premium midsize segment. Luxury interiors, advanced driver technology, sporting elegance and generous cabin size are just some of the key features that sets the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé apart.
With longer journeys in mind, the Gran Coupé has increased in size from its predecessor: it is 143 millimetres longer, 27 millimetres wider and 53 millimetres taller than the first model. The track widths, meanwhile, have also grown to 1,595 millimetres at the front (+50 mm) and 1,623 millimetres at the rear (+29 mm) as has the wheelbase which is 46 millimetres longer than the original. These new dimensions allow the Gran Coupé to offer five full-size seats, including the possibility for three children’s car seats, and a generous boot capacity of 470 litres.
Power, sport and elegance are expressed through a string of exterior design features that give the all-new BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé a beautifully aerodynamic presence on the road. A sporty, muscular silhouette is achieved by doors with frameless windows and flush-fitting handles, a roofline with a pronounced spoiler lip on the tailgate, and a rear apron with vertical aero lips at its outer edges. Coming as standard on this thrilling new model are 17-inch light-alloy wheels.
Looking at the front of this four-door model, bold lines and powerful shoulders immediately catch the eye. Sitting prominently at the centre is the large BMW kidney grille that transmits a feeling of assured presence. The slim full-LED headlights come with U-shaped fibre-optic light guides for the daytime driving lights. There is also the option of Adaptive LED Headlights with BMW Laserlight including BMW Selective Beam non-dazzling high beam assistant.
Once inside, sports seats and a sports leather steering wheel add to the excitement for the driver when in the driving position. A pleasingly sophisticated control panel is home to the Start/Stop button, the BMW Controller, the buttons for the Driving Experience Control unit and the electromechanical parking brake. A feeling of enclosed comfort is achieved by the high centre console and flowing surface structure running from the instrument panel into the door panels.
Interiors can be made to feel even more luxurious with a series of optional add-ons including seat heating and ventilation, Vernasca and BMW Individual leather trim options, Sensatec or leather coverings for the instrument panel, a large glass slide/tilt sunroof, ambient lighting and the Harman Kardon Surround Sound System.
Performance is guaranteed in the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé, ably assisted by a low centre of gravity, high body rigidity for exceptional stiffness and almost 50:50 weight distribution that enables the driver to enjoy excellent handling agility and precision. A trio of four-cylinder models are joined by a six-cylinder performance version of this Gran Coupé that carries an eight-speed Steptronic transmission as standard. The BMW 430i Gran Coupé sees the debut of a new four-cylinder petrol engine which develops 180 kW/245 hp and has an exhaust manifold integrated into the cylinder head to further reduce emissions levels.
Dozens of assistance functions such as front collision warning, speed limit Info, lane departure warning, park distance control, reversing assist camera and parking assistant with reversing assistant, make the BMW 4 Series Gran Coupé a delight to drive, as does the new cloud-based BMW Maps navigation system that provides fast and accurate calculation of routes and arrival times, plus real-time traffic data. The standard BMW Live Cockpit Plus comprises the iDrive operating system with 8.8-inch control display and a 5.1-inch colour display in the instrument cluster.
