Over the years, Cadillac vehicles have been praised for their luxurious designs, uncompromised performance and advanced technology. The recently launched 2021 Cadillac Escalade is the epitome of sophisticated craftsmanship. The stunning exterior design, which brings to life the design vision of the Escala, has an imposing presence on the road and an interior that makes every ride one to remember. The all-new Escalade also comes packed with class-leading and industry-first technologies that once again shake up the luxury SUV segment that it has led for over 20 years.
Here are five technology features in the 2021 Escalade that take both the driver and passengers’ journey to another level of sophistication.
The 2021 Cadillac Escalade comes with an industry-first 38-inch curved display which has twice the pixel density of a 4K TV. Featuring three screens, the system controls and displays all the vital features of the vehicle – driver panel, cluster display and infotainment options – ensuring Escalade drivers have optimal visibility at all times. This leading technology enables bold imagery, perfect blacks and the largest color range available in the automotive space.
If it’s good enough for leading musicians and live music venues, then it is good enough for the 2021 Escalade. The AKG Sound System is completely new to the automotive industry and exclusive to Cadillac. Passengers onboard the luxurious SUV can sit back and enjoy their favorite music thanks to the AKG 360-surround sound system which comes with 19 speakers, 2 amplifiers, and bass box, all standard. To take it up a notch, it can be upgraded to the AKG Studio Reference system with a total of 36 speakers, 3 amplifiers and front and rear bass box, creating a 360-degree sound experience throughout the entire cabin.
The 2021 Escalade offers all-new Augmented Reality-enabled navigation, which uses live street views with directional overlays to enhance driving directions, wherever life takes you. The AR navigation has been coupled with Surround Vision, a standard feature that employs four exterior cameras to provide a 2-megapixel bird’s eye view of the scene around the vehicle, making parking an Escalade a smooth process.
When it comes to performance, the 2021 Escalade delivers a smoother driving experience than ever. With an all-new independent rear suspension, it is the world’s fastest reacting suspension technology. It uses sensors to continually ‘read’ the road and alter the damping rate of the shocks almost instantly. This is complimented by Magnetic Ride Control, Air Ride Adaptive Suspension and Electronic Limited Slip Differential (eLSD) – offering Escalade owners dynamic handling.
