For over seventy-nine years, Ray-Ban has been at the forefront of creating some of the world’s most timeless and iconic eyewear such as the Aviator, the Wayfarer, and the Clubmaster. Inspired by the 1950’s and carrying the debonair charm of the urban knight, the Clubmaster is one of Ray-Ban’s most popular and sought-after products. However, few brands have successfully improved on the styling of an iconic product, but the American brand makes bold strides forward, setting aside metal, acetate, and polycarbonate for a more natural, earthy and anti-allergenic approach to the crafting of protective eyewear. The Clubmaster Wood is Ray-Ban’s subtle re-imagination in three classic wood frames—cherry, walnut or maple—with an inner lining that is gentle on the brow but keeps you looking sharp.
The switch to wooden frames also represents Ray-Ban’s renewed commitment to precision craftsmanship. Consequently, the Clubmaster Wood uses some of the most exquisite woods and time-tested crafting techniques to give you comfort and durability all year round. The frames have a 51-21 lens-to-bridge size and a 145 temple arm length. Ray-Ban offers a wide range of lenses, however, in keeping with Clubmaster tradition, the wood-frame sunglasses are offered in Classic Green, Classic Brown and Classic Blue or Gray. Originally developed for the American military, the lenses used in the Clubmaster Wood absorb 85 percent of visible light, and offer protection from ultraviolet rays, while using parent company Bausch & Lomb’s patented lens technologies, these glasses offer unmatched clarity and color definition.
