BIG BANG FERRARI Carbon

Hublot has continued its collaboration with Ferrari to come up with a new watch named Big Bang Ferrari. The two companies have been close partners from 2011 AND THE Big Bang Ferrari stylishly combines Ferrari’s flair for design with Hublot’s cutting-edge precision. The watch is highly functional but stylish.
The minute counter and the date window at 3 o’clock position are inspired by a car tachometer and the style of the date is inspired by a Ferrari speed dial. The Prancing Horse logo makes its appearance at the 6 o’clock position while the seconds counter figures as an air extractor at the 9 o’clock position. The hour and minute hands have been completely redesigned to offer improved readability when compared to the previous model, the Big Bang Unico. The numerals are now positioned in line with the indices istead of being placed horizontally, and appear to float above the dial, lending a 3D look to the whole piece.

The bezel has a more ergonomic form and has been redesigned with countersunk notches for the 6 screws. When it comes to the crown, the case middle features a red line detail, reminiscent of the iconic groove to the rear of the LaFerrari model. Like the pedals of a car, the elongated push-buttons are fixed to a rotating staff. The crown guard is similar to the TPE (Turbo Performance Engineer) set in the center of the Ferrari dashboard. The name “Ferrari” is emblazoned in bright red across the watch’s now iconic sandwich-like case construction.

The watch has a Unico movement – the Hublot Manufacture movement that integrates a flyback chronograph with column wheel positioned on the dial side. The oscillating weight echoes the iconic star spoke design of the Ferrari wheel rims, while the main plate, bridges and oscillating weight are all treated with black PVD and can be seen through the dial and sapphire case-back.
