Bentley will soon be launching its limited-edition Centenary collection golf clubs to mark the 100 years that the brand has been in business. Bentley had launched its first set of golf clubs back in 2016. The simple but striking design of the Centenary collection golf clubs is inspired by Bentley’s glorious heritage and its ambitious plans for the future. The clubs are notable for the painstaking attention to detail that Bentley has always been famous for. Some of the distinctive features of the golf clubs are a very prominent haunch line, the use of new diamond knurling on the grip, and the replicas of the wheel center caps from the Le Mans car on both the wood heads and the grip end caps. The irons (5-AW) come with titanium face inserts while the two milled-face, cavity-back wedges (52 and 58-degree) have a teardrop shape and rounded sole.
The golf clubs are fashioned from the best quality materials including stainless steel, carbon fiber (including centenary gold thread), titanium, elastomer and aluminum to make the set performance oriented and unique. The driver, fairway and utility golf clubs come with interchangeable shafts. Only 100 sets having their very own unique number will be produced and each set will have its own limited edition bag and headcovers. The bag and headcovers are made from real carbon fiber panels, an industry first, which will match the rest of the clubs. A hybrid long-iron replacement is also part of the set. The Centenary collection golf clubs cost USD 16,000 per set, but for the true Bentley fan, this price should not make any difference.
While the putter isn’t pictured, Bentley describes it as utilizing “multi-materials of notably differing weights and hardness to enable us to make an aesthetically unique looking, high-performance putter.”
