Museo Ferrari is holding a “Michael 50” exhibition to commemorate the 50th birthday of the racing legend, Michael Schumacher. On January 3, 2019, the renowned racer turned 50. Ferrari is holding the exhibition to show its gratitude that Schumacher has done for the brand. The exhibition examines in depth Schumacher’s impact and his victories, both with regard to motorsports and his personal life.
The exhibition is currently open at the Ferrari museum in Maranello. This is the third such exhibition that Ferrari has held in recent months, after the “Driven by Enzo” and “Passion and Legend,” exhibitions. The “Driven by Enzo” exhibition was held in September 2018 in honor of the 120th anniversary of Ferrari’s founder.
Ferrari termed Schumacher “The Most Successful Ferrarista in History,” and the exhibition showcases his many victories. Schumacher won seven world titles, had 91 first-place finishes, and 155 podiums. At the exhibition, visitors can see many of the Schumacher raced in, including the 1996 F310, the 1999 F399, the F1-2000, F2002, F2004, and the 2006 248 F1.
The display also showcases some of the road cars that Schumacher worked on in his role as a developer after he left Formula One racing. He used his knowledge and experience to help shape the dynamics of the 2007 430 Scuderia and the 2008 California.
The “Michael 50” exhibition was curated with the help of the Keep Fighting Foundation. The Foundation had recently launched an app featuring a virtual museum and celebrates Michael and his legacy. A recent report mentioned that Schumacher is currently receiving the best possible treatment for the many injuries he received in his accident.
