Maxxis International, the subsidiary of Chen Shin Tire which distributes the Maxxis range of tires has announced that it will be shortly launching passenger car tires and SUV tires under the CST brand in Europe. CST stands for Chen Shin Tire and the company plans to have a new product and distribution strategy for this brand. The tires are already available at the retail level in some markets.
The CST range has been specially developed keeping in mind the requirements of customers in the European market. They will be available from spring 2018 onwards in popular summer, winter and all-season sizes. The company is also shortly planning to launch a range of tires for light commercial vehicles and in the long term the CST range will comprise tires for passenger cars, light commercial vehicles, 4×4s, motorcycles, ATVs and trailers.
While Maxxis will be the company’s premium brand, the CST brand will serve as a second tire brand with tires that are priced lower for customers who need budget tires. The company will have separate distribution channels for both brands and the channels for the distribution of CST tires are already in place in markets like Austria, Denmark, France, Germany and Switzerland. The distribution partners for the CST brand will also sell tires for ATVs, trailers and industrial segment that are already available in the market under the CST brand.
