Rolls-Royce AGMC Unveils Original Arabic artwork inspired by House of Rolls-Royce

Rolls-Royce AGMC has unveiled original Arabic artwork that is inspired by the brand’s history as depicted in the recent ‘House of Rolls-Royce’ films and the philosophy of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars’ co-founder, Sir Henry Royce. The Arabic artwork was created by Dubai-based Syrian artist Khaled AlSaai. His first piece portrayed Rolls-Royce’s famous hood ornament, the “Spirit of Ecstasy” and proved to be a grand success. His second original artwork is the focal point of the Bespoke Atelier in the world’s first experiential showroom – The Rolls-Royce Boutique. It was commissioned by Mamdouh Khairallah, General Manager of Rolls-Royce Dubai and measures 3 by 4 metres. It effectively combines the Rolls-Royce’s rich history and innovative present in an Arabesque fashion and depicts two quotes from Sir Henry Royce, ‘Accept nothing nearly right or good enough’ and ‘The quality will remain when the price is forgotten’, alongside the Latin quote ‘Whatever is rightly done, however humble, is noble’. These quotes are a part of the ethos which drives Rolls-Royce to make the best motor cars in the world. AlSaai took over two months to make the new artwork from inception to completion.

Khaled AlSaai worked mainly with acrylic paint paired with oils, and used a unique layering and overlapping technique to come up with the most vibrant hues and visible texture for his striking piece of art.

Commenting on the artwork, Mamdouh Khairallah, General Manager of Rolls-Royce AGMC said, “It has been a privilege to work with Khaled again to create such a beautiful a piece representing both the past and present of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars. The painting takes pride of place on the wall of the Bespoke Atelier, and serves as a sensational focal point for customers to further inspire them whilst they are engaged in customizing their very own unique Rolls-Royce motor car at the Rolls-Royce Boutique in City Walk, Dubai.
