Penray has debuted two new chemical products for engines that the company says will help enhance engine life and restore performance to original levels. The 2-Step Oil and Fuel Treatment Kit #7702 comprises a chemical service kit. The kit can be used to remove debris and deposits from fuel systems. The kit also has “a specially-formulated compound” that strengthens engine oil and can extend its life. According to the company, the combination of these two products will further reinforce the effectiveness of any oil change service.
The total fuel system cleaner which is included in the two-step product, according to Penray can be used for dissolving and removing deposits like debris, varnish and any other contaminants in the fuel system. This will make the engine easier to start and more responsive providing motorists with better fuel economy and lower emissions levels in the long run.
The kit has an oil treatment comprising detergents and additives which can boost lubrication and life of engine oils. Penray said that using the additive will minimize dry start-ups, promote easier starting, and extend the life of critical engine components like engine bearings and piston rings.
The second product that the company has launched is the upgraded 3-Step Premium Oil System Cleaner kit, #7603. In addition to the products in the two-step, it also has Penray’s Crankcase and Differential Cleaner. This is a powerful cleaning agent that is particularly useful on higher-mileage engines, those have not had regular oil or filter changes and those which have been used in severe conditions.
Technicians need to add the cleaner to engine oil five minutes before draining. It serves to dissolve any residual sludge, gum, and varnish throughout the crankcase, including crucial areas like cylinder walls, pistons, rings, and the highly-sensitive cam/lifter interface. The debris is then drained out along with the oil.
Speaking about the new products, Mark Kardon, director of marketing for Penray “said that almost all late-model cars have highly precise fuel injectors, which need to be kept free of debris and meticulously clean. Debris can interfere with proper fuel delivery and injector spray patterns.
He added, “These two new service kits provide the opportunity to upgrade to a powerful premium service that enhances both performance and longevity.”
