Cinemo, which is a key player in high performance and automotive grade multimedia playback, streaming, media management and connectivity middleware, has announced that it has been selected by Denso to help provide motorists with the best In-Vehicle infotainment. Henceforth, Denso will be integrating Cinemo’s multimedia platform as part of its automotive Head Unit project.
The two companies will be collaborating to provide this system for a major Japanese OEM. As an outcome of this partnership, infotainment units will integrate Cinemo’s advanced file, stream and disc playback, media management, and UPnP based content sharing features. Going forward, Denso and Cinemo will work closely on meeting the increased technological requirements in order to enhance the digital experience within a vehicle.
Speaking about the partnership, Jim Corbett of Cinemo said that motorists now expect a lot from their In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) system. This is mainly due to the technological advancements that have been made so far. Hence, it is a constant challenge for automakers to deliver performance led solutions. Cinemp has already become quite well known for its multimedia solutions which are a crucial element in infotainment systems. By working with Denso, Cinemo is hoping to move the benchmark further in IVI development.
