Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. Has announced that its tires has been selected as the OE fitment for the new Subaru Impreza. While the company’s ADVAN Sport V105 tire will be used as the OE for the Impreza in Australia and Japan, its North America, its AVID S34 tire will be used.
The Impreza is one of the most popular models of Fuji Heavy Industries which makes the Subaru models. The company launched the new Impreza in Japan on October 25 and is planning launches in other countries in a staggered manner. The new Impreza will also have pre-installed YOKOHAMA emergency flat-tire repair kits.
The ADVAN Sport V105 tire will be fitted in size 225/40R18 88W in Japan and 225/40R18 92W in Australia, while the P225/40R18 88V size of the AVID S34 tires will be used. The “ADVAN Sport V105” is a tire that was developed for high-power premium cars and offers motorists outstanding safety characteristics, excellent driving performance combined and superior comfort.
The “AVID S34” is an all-season passenger car tire that offers optimal fuel efficiency while also providing higher level of safety and drivability. The tire was developed by applying the basic design and materials technology used in YOKOHAMA’s “BluEarth” global tire brand, which is based on the concept of “environmentally, human and socially friendly”.
The fifth-generation Impreza, was designed to deliver “enjoyment and peace of mind” to motorists with its use of new technologies, including the completely revamped Subaru Global Platform architecture. The new Impreza provides drivers with greatly enhanced comprehensive safety performance and a dynamic yet stable sensation.
