MAHLE Service Solutions has debuted its SmartACX Smartphone app, a new app that will help technicians to increase their productivity by allowing them to view the status of the company’s ArcticPRO machines during vehicle service. The ArcticPRO® ACX1299 A/C machine is a digital air conditioning (A/C) machine that can safely service vehicles using the new R1234yf refrigerant. The machine received the “Best Use of Technology” new product award at the 2016 Mobile Air Conditioning Society (MACS) Worldwide Trade Show in Orlando, Florida. MAHLE had launched the machine exclusively for Kia dealers in January 2016.
Using the SmartACX Smartphone App, a technician can remotely see the values and status of the Kia ArcticPRO ACX1299 A/C machine while it is being used for vehicle service. Thus, the technician can save time by working on another job while the A/C machine is operating.
All the technician has to do in order to use the app is pair the mobile phone app with one of the machines with the help of a QR code. He can then work on other tasks without the hassle of having to watch out for the machine light or listening for the buzzer. Through his smartphone, the SmartACX Smartphone App will automatically display the pertinent values and an alert notification when the job has been completed.
Speaking about the new app, Andreas Huber, general manager, MAHLE Service Solutions said that MAHLE designs all its products with the aim of helping repair shops and technicians to maximize their efficiency and productivity. The new app eliminates the need for technicians to walk back and to the machine in order to check on its status.
The MAHLE Service Solution SmartACX Smartphone App can be downloaded for free through Google Play or the Apple Store (IOS). MAHLE plans to make the app available on additional platforms in the coming months
