UK based Comline has a well established presence in the automotive lubricants segment and exports to more than 40 countries. The company’s range of motor oils is one of the fastest growing brands in the European automotive market and the firm received the highest business accolade in the UK, the ‘Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2016’ this year. Now, the company has widened its range of lubricants with a new range that has distinctive yellow and silver packaging and is refined and blended in Europe.
Another distinctive feature of the new range is that it is easy for customers to find the product that they are looking for , as each Comline gear oil, transmission fluid and brake fluid type comes in a unique color accent. Comline has high-specification lubricants that are compatible with engines of a wide range of cars manufactured in Japan, Korea and Europe.
Gear oils Comline has three different types of gear oils which are available in 1 liter sizes. While 80W90 GL4 and 80W90 GL5 are mineral oils, 75W90 GL5 is a synthetic oil.75W90 GL5 and 80W90 GL4 are recommended for final drives and manual gearboxes while 80W90 GL5 is meant for use with hypoid gears and hub reductions. All gear oils have special additives that are meant to minimize foam building, corrosion and wear, corrosion and foam building whilst reducing the chances of breakdown through thermal oxidation at high temperatures.
Transmission fluids Comline has a range of four transmission fluids which are available in 1 liter bottles and have low pour point to ensure that the fluids lubricate and protect at low temperatures. This is particularly important in cold temperatures when a lubricant has to function at the lowest possible operating temperatures.
The four variants include ATF1100 and ATF3H which are fully synthetic, ATF3G semi-synthetic transmission fluid and ATF2 mineral transmission fluids, thus ensuring that the range can be used for a wide range of transmission types as well as fluid clutches, power steering systems, hydraulic systems and torque convertors.
Brake fluids Comline has two variants of brake fluid, DOT4 and DOT5.1 which motorists can use to safeguard the performance of their braking system. Comline DOT4 is either as a 1-liter or 500ml bottle and is a premium brake fluid that provides maximum protection against corrosion within the hydraulic system. It was developed specifically for passenger cars, commercial vehicles, mopeds, scooters, forklift trucks and motorcycles.
Comline DOT5.1 is available only in the 250 ml packaging and is fully-synthetic. It is recommended for use in ABS and ASR brake systems. Compared to DOT3 and DOT4, it has lower viscosity and delivers superior performance in such systems. Both Comline DOT4 and DOT5.1 brake fluids feature a high ‘wet boiling point’, which protects against the dangers of vapour lock within the braking system.
