Reports say that Qatar Petroleum (QP) has amended the specifications of automobile gasoline sold across Qatar.
Under the new specifications, which are effective from June 1, ‘Super’ and ‘Premium’ gasoline grades will become 95 octane (from 97) and 91 octane (from 90). These are consistent with international standard specifications in effect in the GCC countries and most of the world.
Qatar Petroleum claims that ‘Super’ 95 octane and ‘Premium’ 91 octane gasoline are premium quality grades suitable to gas-driven cars in Qatar.
