LiqTech International, Inc. a clean technology firm that specializes in filtration products and systems, has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Kailong High Technology Co. Ltd., to supply it with advanced silicon carbide material for DPF filters. The framework agreement is valued at $2.2 million, with the first order of $0.375 million scheduled for delivery in September next year.
According to Zang Zhicheng, Chairman of Kailong High Tech, since 2001, Kailong High Tech has been established as a high quality leader in Diesel Selective Catalytic reduction (SCR) systems in China. He said that they are at the forefront of technology and are planning ahead to meet the new ‘China 6’ emission zone standards representing the highest standards of emission control in the globe.
Zhicheng added that they have done extensive research worldwide and have proven that Liqtech can meet their high standard of quality and safety of delivery. “We have chosen LiqTech as our long term business partner. This first order represents a test of the Chinese market but we are confident that together with LiqTech, we can expand the market inChina.”
In a statement, Aldo Petersen, Chairman of LiqTech, said that they are proud that Kailong High Tech has selected LiqTech as its strategic partner for silicon carbide DPF filters for the Chinese market. He noted that they companies have worked diligently together in Wuxi, China and Ballerup, Denmark to set up the foundation for a long-term relationship. “We believe that Kailong High Tech, with its rich experience and high quality standards, is the right strategic partner for LiqTech in China.”
Petersen believes that under Chairman Zang Zhicheng’s guidance, Kailong High Tech will attain great success implementing LiqTech technology in China and together with their leadership in SCR systems, will create the same success with silicon carbide DPF filters.
