Toyo Tires Launches Two New Open Country Tires

Toyo Tire U.S.A. Corp., the US subsidiary of Toyo Tires has announced that it is launching two new additions to the company’s popular Open Country range – the Open Country Q/T, which is a touring all-season tire that is customized for CUVs and SUVs; and Open Country C/T, an on-/off-road commercial grade tire that is meant for 0.5 to 1-ton pickups.

Toyo® Open Country® Q/T

The Toyo Open Country Q/T offers users the advantages of a quiet and comfortable ride, long tread life; and a striking design. It is suitable for a wide range of luxurious vehicles, from CUVs to luxury SUVs, and is positioned as a premium all-season tire that provides motorists with extra stability and confident handling.

The most distinctive feature of the tire is its unique tread design that contributes to the smooth ride with its Silent Wall technology for reducing pipe resonance and four wide circumferential tread grooves for improving wet traction. These grooves evacuate water while open lateral slits in the tread also help in draining water thus improving the wet performance. The multi-wave sipes in the tread blocks minimize irregular wear for a smooth, quiet ride and improve braking as well as light snow traction on both wet and dry roads.

Toyo® Open Country® C/T

The Toyo Open Country C/T has all-terrain commercial grade durability, plus a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake symbol which testifies to its suitability for use even in severely snowy conditions. Equally suitable for use in both on- and off-road conditions, its unique tread design and tough construction significantly improve tread life and traction in gravel, mud, and snow. In spite of its aggressive appearance, the Open Country C/T also provides motorists with a quiet, comfortable highway ride.

The tire is ideal for use on work and ranch trucks due to its durable, 3-ply construction and all-weather traction. It is just as suitable for use on recreational trips for hauling or towing applications as it provides a high level of ride comfort. The tire incorporates an innovative tread compound having high levels of natural rubber and was specifically developed for rides on rough roads and no roads. This compound gives the tire greater resistance to cutting, chipping, and stone drilling while it still remains flexible in lower temperatures. The tire is also highly durable with features like dual-angle shoulder blocks improve traction in snow, mud, and rutted roads. When it comes to ice traction, the tread is pinned to accept TSMI #15 studs.

The Open Country C/T size range includes 16 popular OE replacement and flotation sizes ranging from 16- to 20-inches in wheel diameter and load ranges D and E.
