Vredstein Tires Become OE Fitment on Volkswagen Golf Mark 8

Volkswagen has selected Vredstein to supply three of its tires as original equipment for the company’s new VW Golf Mark 8.

Three Vredstein tires – the Sportrac 5 summer tire (in the size 195/65R15), the Wintrac Pro (195/65R15) and the Snowtrac 5 (205/55R16) will be used for factory fitment of the eighth generation of the popular Volkswagen Golf. Vredstein already supplies its Vredestein Wintrac Pro as the winter tire for the Volkswagen T-Cross.

The new Golf made its debut on the global stage in October 2019 and will soon be available for purchase at the retail level.

From the time the Volkswagen Golf made its debut in 1974, as many as 35 million Volkswagen Golfs have been sold across the globe, thanks to the reputation that the mid-size family hatchback enjoys for attention to detail and safety features.

Commenting on the new OE fitment, Vredestein UK Country Manager Karl Naylor said that the iconic Golf was definitely is a prestigious model to add to Vredestein’s growing list of OE fitments.

Naylor said, “Its timeless design and successful formula throughout the decades mean that here, in the UK, the Golf has occupied one of the top four spots in the ‘best seller’ car model list for many years.”

Vredestein’s range of tires are hallmarked for their quality, which makes them just the right choice for the VW Golf and other Volkswagen Audi Group models.

Vredstein now has a wide range of OE fitments across several Volkswagen brands with the Sportrac 5, Quatrac 5, Wintrac Pro being used as OE on models like Polo, T-Cross, Seat Ibiza and Audi A1. The Wintrac Pro is also the preferred winter tire on the Volkswagen T-Cross.
