Leading tire manufacturer and distributor, ZAFCO teamed up with Van Den Ban, a total tire supplier based in Europe to revive the Armstrong Tire brand and to launch the next generation of Armstrong tires during The Tire Cologne 2018 show in Germany.
Armstrong Tire has a history going back to 1912 when it was established by George F. Armstrong in New Jersey, United states. Though it was an iconic American brand that was once a Fortune 500 Company and was known for the quality and performance of its products, it has long been dormant.
Commenting on the revival of the brand, Zafar Hussain, Executive Director ZAFCO said that the company wanted to stay true to the Armstrong legacy of craftsmanship. This is why Zafco set up a completely new, state-of-the-art manufacturing facility equipped with the best German and Japanese machinery to make premium tires for the passenger car and truck and bus segments. Every single tire that leaves the tire is checked meticulously to ensure that it is of the highest quality.
The range of summer passenger tire made for the Armstrong brand includes three patterns: BLU-TRAC PC for passenger cars, BLU-TRAC HP (Ultra High Performance), and TRU-TRAC SU for SUVs. The TRU-TRAC pays homage to the highly popular Armstrong TRU TRAC pattern from the 20th century.
Customers who buy Armstrong passenger and light truck tires will benefit from the ‘TUFF 360 Warranty Program’. The warranty program is a comprehensive warranty that is named after Armstrong’s beloved mascot, TUFFY the Rhino. TUFF 360 comprises Mileage Treadwear Warranty up to 75,000 kilometers, as well as a 30-Day No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee in addition to a competitive Manufacturer’s Warranty.
Zafco’s partnership with Van Den Ban’s combine its unique strengths as a manufacturer with Van Den Ban’s expertise in distribution to bring Armstrong tires to Europe.
“With Armstrong we add another value to our portfolio. And we create value for our customers based on heritage & future continuity and on a large range & quality” added Frans van Lenten, managing director of Van den Ban Group
