According to Jose Angeles, marketing manager for Nitto Tyres Australia, Nitto tires will now be sold exclusively through the Bob Jane T-Marts tire retail chain which has 136 outlets spread across the country. He said that along with the new website, the appointment of the new distributor is expected to boost Nitto’s presence in the Australian market and make the tires more accessible to retail customers. The new www.nittotyre.com.au website will serve as a customized hub for information about Nitto tires in Australia. It has the functionality for browsers to find the most suitable Nitto tires for their vehicle model and to locate the nearest dealer for Nitto tires. Angeles said that this kind of localized online information will make the brand more accessible and make the purchase process easier and smoother for Australian customers. Another step to raise the brand’s profile was to appoint Matty Mingay as Nitto’s brand ambassador. Angeles is one of the most well known action sports athletes in Australia. “He is known for pushing tires to their limit and for performing in front of crowds of millions of people in a year. His passion and performance are similar to those of the Nitto brand. Commenting on his appointment as the brand ambassador, Mingay said that Nitto was his first choice when it came to tires whether he was using them for drifting, truck jumping or any kind of stunt. He added that he relied on Nitto tires to put on the best possible show and to give him and his team the highest levels of safety.
