BFGoodrich Tires was the company that made the first all-terrain tire in 1976. Now, Michelin has launched brand’s range of truck and bus tires in the Middle East and Africa markets. This range will comprise tires that can be used by commercial trucks for regional, highway and on/off-road applications. BF Goodrich will be making this range available in the MEA region through a network of specialized dealers who are familiar with these products and can provide customers with knowledgeable service.
Speaking about the launch of the brand’s range of truck and bus tires, Shantanu Deshpande, Marketing Director Truck & Bus Tires for Michelin Africa, India & the Middle East (AIM) said that Michelin was delighted to bring its truck and bus tire offer to the Middle East and Africa markets, which is a key market for Michelin and plays a crucial role in its global growth story. He added that the company is launching the BFGoodrich Truck & Bus tire range in order to cater to the growing needs of local truck and bus customers who seek strong tires, reliability and international quality at an affordable price.”
Most of the tires in the range are manufactured in Europe and the two major tire patterns in the range are BFGoodrich ROUTE CONTROL and BFGoodrich CROSS CONTROL.
The BFGoodrich ROUTE CONTROL truck tire is notable for its even tread wear and a reinforced crown that protects the tire from hazards on the road. It is meant specifically for regional and highway use in urban settings and can be used for both trucks and buses. It offers users the benefits of an optimal contact patch and pressure distribution. The damage to the sidewall and abrasion is also minimal, especially with dual fitment.
The BFGoodrich CROSS CONTROL truck tire can be used both on and off-road in highly demanding conditions and is more suitable for trucks than buses. It is a durable and cut-resistant tire that comes with an aggressive block tread pattern for high grip, an additional crown ply for longer life of the casing and a special anti-cut and chip tread which reduces the risk of damage and lowers downtime.
When it comes to sizes and availability, from this month onwards, the BFGoodrich ROUTE CONTROL tire will be available in 14 sizes, while the BFGoodrich CROSS CONTROL tire will be available in 5 sizes for the Middle East and Africa markets.
