Hankook has debuted its first tyre made in the United States. The Kinergy PT is a Premium Touring All-Season Tire that is notable for its enhanced traction and long range.
Hankook Tire is expanding its passenger tire segment with the release of the KINERGY PT (H737), a premium touring all-season tire, which is the first tyre that Hankook has made exclusively in the United States. Hankook made the tyre at its factory in Clarksville, Tennessee. The KINERGY PT is positioned as a tyre that is optimized for long-distance travel, safety and driving performance through enhanced traction.
Notable features of the new tyre are that it uses a specially formulated tire compound in order to enhance traction in all conditions and it also has a strong rolling resistance profile to help increase the mileage performance. The tread design comprises a high-stiffness center rib and unique circumferential out grooves for optimized water evacuation. These features boost the traction in both wet and dry conditions. Even when the temperatures are below freezing, the KINERGY PT has a wider footprint that improves its handling and enhances cornering response.
Hankook has made the tyre available at the retail level from September 25 through Hankook certified dealers in the United States. Customers can benefit from a 30-day free trial and an optimized 90,000-mile warranty that includes road hazard coverage and a UTQG rating of 860/A/A that Hankook says is the best rating in the PCR segment and makes the Kinergy PT the highest-rated tyre in the market.
