Singapore-based tire manufacturer, Giti Tire opened its first flagship store in the Middle East in Dubai. The store, which is located in one of the key industrial zones in Dubai, Dubai Investment Park, was opened in partnership with Amin Auto Care. Amin Auto Care is an auto service provider based in the UAE that has a history which goes back 32 years. The formal inauguration of the store marked the ceremonial signing of a ‘Commitment to Service’ by both partners as part of which they mutually agreed to provide world class customer service.
Giti Tire is one of the largest tire manufacturers in the world with USD 3.4 Billion (AED 12.47 Billion) revenue in 2017. The company has maintained a strong presence in the Middle East for over 25 years, and has sold different brands of tires in the region. It is now seeking to strengthen its presence in the region by launching its flagship Giti brand in the region and highlighting its new product and communication offerings.
The inauguration of the flagship store was attended by eminent dignitaries like Chris Bloor, Executive Director of International Sales and Marketing and Chandran, Managing Director of Amin Auto Care, as well as senior executives from Singapore and UAE and local partners. UAE’s Product Marketing Manager Manish Rathor later led those who attended the event on a tour around the store.
Speaking at the event, Chris Bloor, Executive Director of International Sales and Marketing, Giti Tire emphasized the importance of Dubai as the Middle East’s first Giti Tire flagship store base and said that the opening of the flagship store in Dubai symbolized Giti opening new doors across the region. He said that the Middle East market is important to Giti Tire’s objectives and the it would be a major focus for the company to provide top service in this region across all tire types and segments.
Bloor concluded, “We are happy to partner with Amin Auto Care. Giti’s retail store program carefully selects only the stores with best service, customer experience.’
Giti Tire highlighted its dedication to retail service through the unveiling and signing of a ‘Commitment to Service’ agreement, by executives from both Giti Tire and Amin Auto Care.
Prior to the signing, Elson Tsai, Head of International Marketing for Giti Tire, shared the importance of the commitment saying that the signing of the agreement signified more than just signing of a paper. The agreement is a shared agreement for Giti and Amin Auto Care to provide the best levels of service to the entire local community. Through this commitment, the two companies hope to achieve success and grow further together. He said that each Giti Flagship store needs to adhere to the principles of the company and brand in order to be selected as a flagship store.
Giti Tire is poised to expand its presence in the Middle East market with a full range of passenger car, SUV/4×4, and commercial truck and bus tires which are produced in eight factories in China, Indonesia, and the US, and an expanded brand presence. The company has dedicated distribution partners in all major markets. Recently, Giti Tire established a local Middle East office located in the Dubai Airport Free Zone adding into its 35,000 global employees and 12 offices around the world.
