In order to help dealers increase their knowledge of the company’s products and to build a better connection with its dealers, Falken Tires has launched Falken Academy. Falken Tires specializes in high performance tires for trucks, crossovers and passenger cars. Falken Academy is a dealer training seminar and ride-and-drive program, of which the first class was held in late February 2018.
The training was held at Falken’s U.S. headquarters in Rancho Cucamonga. The dealer representatives who participated in the program underwent both classroom and behind-the-wheel sessions for a period of two days. On the second day of the training session, guests are taken to the Auto Club Speedway in nearby Fontana for track driving, and to a popular off-roading point near San Bernardino called Cleghorn Trail to understand firsthand how dependable Falken tires are on highly demanding terrain.
Nick Fousekis, Falken’s Director, Advertising & Promotions said that Falken Academy is a long-term initiative for Falken Tires and the company’s goal is to have about 1,500 guests comprising retailers, dealers and salespeople undergo the training program in three waves during the months of February, June and August. As an outcome of the training, they would become completely immersed in all Falken offers to its customers.
“Our prime objective is to give our associates a chance to see the inner workings of our great company, intimately learn our products, truly understand our brand and how to sell it.” Fousekis continued.
The training sessions will have three stages – the tech session will help the guests to understand how Falken incorporates innovative technology into every tire it builds while the track stage will allow them to experience Falken products against products from key competitors and the trail stage will have them testing Falken’s WILDPEAK off-road tires in an off-road setting.
