Bridgestone has launched FleetPulse, a digital tire maintenance solution with three components that can help fleets make significant cuts when it comes to costs. Fleet Pulse comprises a mobile app, a centralized website and TPMS hardware and makes the vehicle health situation considerably clearer to fleet operators and drivers. It thus minimizes the possibility of highly expensive and unexpected vehicle breakdowns. Using FleetPulse, fleets will also be able to reduce maintenance costs and make their operations simpler.
Using the designated FleetPulse Android app, drivers and technicians now get access to a platform that is easy use when it comes to performing a roadworthiness checks. The process replaces the current manual process and helps ensures that nothing is missed as all the necessary checks are made. The centralized FleetPulse online portal can be used by fleet and maintenance managers to access status updates for their entire fleet through the cloud. At once glance, they can get information about all the performance data as well as any damage or defects. On the basis of this data, they can then make individual requests to drivers and technicians and such requests can cover service bookings, new checklists, and even the removal of vehicles from the road – directly through notifications from the FleetPulse app. The FleetPulse app and TPMS hardware has been available from September 2018. Commenting on Fleet Pulse, Paolo Ferrari, CEO and president of Bridgestone EMEA, said that Bridgestone is dedicated to understanding and addressing the challenges that drivers and fleet managers face on a daily basis. Through digitization and the FleetPulse Solution, they now get a new and exciting way to tackle their challenges in an easier manner.
Ferrari concluded, “Our pioneering use of data and technology, alongside our leading investments in R&D and our relentless focus on the customer, mean we’re rapidly realizing value from mobility solutions that deliver greater-than-ever efficiency, convenience and sustainability.”
