AGMC, the official importer of BMW Group vehicles for Dubai, Sharjah, and the Northern Emirates, reveals the market launch of the long-awaited MINI John Cooper Works (JCW) 3-Door Hatch.
John Cooper Works is the exclusive in-house tuning, development, and international automotive racing division for MINI. Although founded in 2002, John Cooper Works has been associated with MINI since 1961.
In its motorsport debut, British racing driver John Cooper modified the original MINI, creating the first MINI Cooper. Racing versions went on to win the Monte Carlo Rally four years in a row, cementing the MINI Cooper as a racing legend.
With an intensive makeover for the new MINI 3-Door Hatch, the British premium automobile manufacturer confirms the position of MINI as the premium provider of driving fun, expressive design, individual style and sporty flair highlighted in the JCW model collection.
Sharp steering, dynamic damping control, multi-link rear suspension and various drive modes highlight the technical features of the MINI that make the go-kart inspired model so much fun to drive.
Clear exterior design accents give the new JCW a purist appearance that emphasises the hallmark design features. In the interior, the extensively redesigned cockpit underlines the premium character of the MINI JCW 3-Door Hatch.
Attractive additions to the range of standard and optional equipment, new exterior paint finishes, light-alloy wheels, interior and seating surfaces as well as innovative technology in the areas of chassis, driver assistance systems, operation and connectivity round off the latest update for the British brand.
Above all, the enhanced aesthetics ensure that the central design features of the MINI become even more apparent and modern by means of reduction.
Contrasting colours for the roof and exterior mirror caps are among the most striking design features that have made MINI a pioneer when it comes to customisation such as the optional Chili Red roof on the MINI John Cooper Works models.
The redesigned interior of the MINI JCW 3-Door Hatch is sophisticated, modern and of particularly high quality. The seams at the transition to the black imitation leather of the seat bolsters feature a colour scheme that matches the fabric of the seat surfaces.
The premium look of the hallmark central instrument has also been optimised. An 8.8-inch colour touchscreen display, touch-sensitive favourite buttons and Piano Black high-gloss surfaces are now standard features.
In addition, the audio control unit and the function buttons for hazard warning lights and driver assistance systems are integrated even more harmoniously into the circular control unit. In conjunction with the Ambient Light option, a new surface design with laser engraving optimises the appearance of the LED light ring surrounding the central instrument. The operating system controller placed on the centre console now features an all-black surface in conjunction with a navigation system.
Ayhan Olcer, CEO of AGMC, says, “The new MINI JCW 3-Door Hatch is an authentic MINI with all the sporty flair of a JCW. Known for its personality and substance, the model has been refined to emphasised all those things that make MINI what it is: quality, modernity and identity.”
“John Cooper Works builds specially tuned, performance-inspired MINI cars for the street. So whether you’re looking for a fun commuter or a capable track toy, the John Cooper Works MINI is sure to provide an exhilarating driving experience. With a new and improved design and power, we are confident that MINI lovers will welcome the latest edition to the MINI collection with open arms.”
